Madventures... ;-)
We´ve had such a lovely day today. First we slept late, had brekkie and then went out to town. H went to a second-hand bookshop and I went to buy some fabric for our sofa pillows.
For the past 10 years my town has had a Snow Castle. You have probably heard about it, the first one was the biggest snow castle in the world. Now, for this town, it´s the biggest joke in the world. It´s too expensive and that causes the cuts that have been made to health services etc... I haven´t visited there much but today we decided to go there... The weather was awesome!! The sky was clear and temperature was about -15c. Chilly but so fresh! Mmmm...exactly what I needed. There were a lot of foreigners, oooohing and ahhhing at the castle. Amazed at how much snow and ice there was... We took a few pictures, as well.
Number 1 is from the cabinet and the second one is from the restaurant. What a great idea to use bottles as lights!! Number 3-5 are from the Chapel, the light wasn´t very good inside. My mom went there a few days ago, a japanese couple was getting married and they asked a little audience because they didn´t have any family there with them. So, mom experienced a japanese wedding. Almost. ;-) Number 6-7 are from the Snow Hotel, they had about 12 rooms and each was a little different. Brrr! Number 8, they´ve had these every year. The red one is a girl, called Terttu and the blue one is a boy, called Arttu. And the rest of the pictures were taken from the gallery, I´m not sure what they are meant to be...but look for yourself! I´ll send more later... enjoy. :-)
After the trip to the Snow Castle we went to vietnamese restaurant. I had rice, deep-fried chicken with a lot of different veggies and H had rice and ox in a chili sauce... What a shame we forgot the camera in the car! You should´ve seen him sweating... Hahaha.
As for the rest of the evening... Poor baby is exhausted. *chuckles* I think I´m in a mood for a little cuddling.

Nice pictures!
I saw a documentary on the Discovery Channel about the Ice Hotel, but that was in the old village of Jukkasjärvi in Swedish Lapland.
It's amazing how the get these huge blocks of ice from the nearby Torne River. And they build a new hotel every year. (Naturally the old one melts, but I mean they also make a whole new design!)
I would like to spend the night there some day and experience the Northern Lights!
